Manhattan Beach real estate “Tree” section is made up of quaint neighborhoods with a small town feel. The streets are tree-lined – the city has even passed ordinances to protect many of the trees from being removed – and the “Manhattan Beach Tree area homes have backyards and small quaint parks sprinkled through the popular district.

Homes and real estate in the Manhattan Beach Tree Section have moderate setbacks. They aren’t as densely clustered as other Manhattan Beach real estate.
The lot sizes vary in size, ranging from 1,200 to 3,500 square feet. Most of the homes in the Tree Section are single family residences. Most have a traditional floor plans with the kitchen and seating areas on the main floor and bedrooms upstairs.
There’s a real sense of family and community in the Tree Section. It’s not uncommon to see children riding their bikes, mothers pushing strollers, or the occasional block party during the summer. Kids in the Tree section generally attend Pacific Elementary or Grand View Elementary, both of which have been named California Distinguished schools.

This 21 acre park crosses the City from north to south along Valley Drive and Ardmore Avenue from Sepulveda Blvd. to the border of Hermosa Beach. It includes a 1.5 mile jogging trail and wheelchair accessible par course with four workout stations between the intersections of 10th and 11th Streets. It is the only park in the City in which leashed dogs are allowed.
Park benches and shade trees provide resting spots every quarter-mile along the path. There are also drinking fountains for dogs and their human companions.
The Mariposa Pathway, a 250-foot section of the parkway near Ninth Street, provides a beautiful rest stop for joggers and others who enjoy a walk along this park.
